Hey! I'm sorry to be dropping this comment on this entry but Blogger has no real reply system and I wanted to make sure you knew I appreciated the comment on my blog post.
I've always known that no matter how much I improve- there is always going to be so many miles better than me.
It was your advice though that really hit home though-
'you don't have to be the best there is, just the best you can be.'
I realised that I've been trying hard playing 'catch up' and competing with myself when really I should just be content with being better at what I do and to keep doing it, it is afterall what got me any attention I do have. Why I felt I suddenly had to step up my game, just because people I admire suddenly knew about me, makes no sense now! I thought that was amazing advice.
And I am content at my own growth level and I've always strived to better myself so that won't change. I think what will change is the the stupid idea that I need to improve DOUBLETIME just because people I admire watch my work now. So I'll maintain my attitude and self-improve, keep loving the process.
Also, I'm a huge fan of your work so it feels so very cool to have you offer your two cents.
